(no subject)
i am trying to make my songs-with-awesome-lyrics mixtape (tentatively titled "write down the words & then i snort them up") but i am having two problems:
- jenny's new album leaked and you guys! it is so motherfucking good i can't even. nguerhgeurwf it's been on repeat since i got it. a few of the songs took a couple listens to really grow on me (this album is a bit different from her older stuff, sound-wise, and also she reworked some of her old songs (which have never been released before but have been played live plenty of times) and i have a hard time letting go of things i love) but i am sold. "transmitter failure" (the song) is basically perfection. also, to all the articles i have been reading lately about how the album is dead: SUCK IT. transmitter failure works SO GOOD as a whole album- i've been listening to it in order this whole time and it flows perfectly. i should mail a copy to mike doughty.
- speaking of doughty: i just want to fill this mix with his songs. ngh mike doughty, why are you so good with the lyrics?
