Plans and stuhff
Well we're in Manchester (on my mum's crappy dialup) until Friday middayish when my mum will drive us to Sheffy with some foodage, bedding and a few plates. Hope to see my housemate Glyn and catch up on stuff.
Seems the landlord wants to sell the house and is offering to end our contract early - this is a good thing and could save me a months rent. I think he's realised the house is too high maintainence for a student house, esp when the whole thing flooded to hell (the weekend I had found someone to take my room - suffice to say she didn't take it). I just need to rescue my washing machine, microwave and some network/ADSL stuff. We're gonna use the house as a base till 1st June and hopefully get my dad to take my stuff - I'm not leaving any of it in the house even with landlord permission, stupid risk after last time when half my stuff got 'lost' by the other landlord grr.
Hoping we'll get a chance to go see some housing ppl tomorrow and at least get info. Will look at a map of sheffy and see what areas we would be looking for places to live in. I also hope to catch up with the last 9 months with Glyn, not seen him properly in ages.
Will be going into hospital on 2nd June, staying in a Travel Inn the night before as my dad is driving us there, not sure what happens after that other than to assume I will be banned from typing for at least the week and unable to get online (shock). I will not however give up typing for longer than that, and if the treatment the physio seems to want to do involves fixing my shoulder in a position I can't type/use it effectively then they can sod off.
Will keep ppl posted on LJ re househunting and whatnot. Won't be doing huge amounts of online stuff as we're on dialup which is painfully slow.
I will probably be reading LJ but not necessarily commenting. If you wanna contact me text is good and I will reply to important emails.
