Ummm...right.

I still am a little bleh. But better a bit.

Playing Tears for Fears circa 1993- the 'Elemental' cd. I have a special soft spot for this cd. It was a busy and lifechanging year for me, so I am partial to it. Not to mention it's way more even along the 'Songs....' cd, minus Curt (only bad part). It helps me think.

Watched 'The Third Man' last night with Orson Welles. Very very good film, I was impressed. Orson was brill in it- almost everyone was, in fact. The direction and pacing made it even more so. I'll have to recommend it to my brother when I talk to him.

Stomach less wiggy tonight, due to some prescription meds I took (I've had stomach issues before) and forgot I had in my medicine cabinet. I really need to clean that thing out again....

Went to return my checked out movies today- the library was *mad* loud this afternoon. Whoa. Thankfully I got what I came to get and checked on out. And there were no parking spaces, to boot. Thankfully, I found one close (after circling a little). I put gas in Mom's car- $2.99 a fucking gallon!!!! Thanks, Prez. *sighs*- and came on home.

Been here ever since. Starting to numb out over all the Katrina specials. I shouldn't but it's beginning to wear on me. No wonder I have been spending so much time at the library lately. I feel safe and insulated there. Also, reading a book called 'Honey, Hush!," about African-American women and their use humour to get trough the hard times in life: marriage, courting, children, the church and their attitudes towards women, etc., just the general trials of life. Has helped me a LOT this past week, to say the least.

Finally got 'Unforgivable Blackness' about Jack Johnson, the boxer. Been on hold for 4 months for it but better late than never.

Suppose that's all. I shall be off then. Ta for now.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Bob Denver passed away yesterday. Gilligan to most, he will always be Maynard G. Krebs from 'The Dobie Gillis Show' to me. (That was my favorite role of his to me.) RIP, Maynard.

Listening to Jamiroquai's 'Travelling without Moving' cd- damn, hadn't played this in a good long while. Great cd. Somehow this escaped my brother's greedy clutches.:)
