I'd like to take this moment of breaching contract to express my overbearing giddiness for the release of TROY, the film version of Homer's The Iliad. And in case you didn't know, The Iliad is the BEST SHIT you could ever ask for from an epic poem, with all the gory-gut-imploding, innard-pulling/ limb-severing, hot-as-fuck sexual deviances your high school lit class never told you about. And if my previous display of lit geek-wad enthusiasm won't convince you, please children, consider :

BRAD PITT as Achilles (good casting, says Bao. in this particular scene, he's about to reveal to Patroclus that he can't fucking believe it's not butter.)
ERIC BANA as Hector (of Hulk fame, whose makeup and costume was modelled after Tori Amos for a reason unapparent to me.)
ORLANDO BLOOM as Paris (i disagree: Paris is not some pansy-ass elf bitch)

PETER O'TOOLE as Priam (the 1090390491309th Greek role of his career)
BRIAN COX as Agamemnon (of Braveheart fame. but i remember him from the most disturbing Sundance Channel programming i've ever seen: as a child molester. Agamemnon's a prick, anyway.)
SEAN BEAN as Odysseus (the Boromir dude from LOTR: Fellowship)
SAFFRON BURROWS as Andromeche (the hot one from my all-time favorite brit mafia movie Gangster No. 1, and of Frida fame)
& who's this Diane Kruger character that's good enough to play Helen of Troy, the gorgeous horny slut that causes all of the gory-gut-imploding, innards-pulling/ limb-severing, hot-as-fuck sexual deviances?
i foresee so much greatness that i would be totally happy just dying after watching that movie, for it will complete my life and stuff, and judging from the imagery of Homer's text and the messed up violent media of our day, it will be BLOODY AS FUCK (they BEST be doing that "dragging-of-decapitated-body-across-city-of-Troy-by-horse-carriage" scene...mm-hmm!), just seeing that millisecond of the Trojan Horse in the trailer grease me up.
