This journal entry is needlessly lengthy and I apologise in advance. D:
Much has happened since I last updated - and guess what? I've forgotten half of it. Let's see. I went to a Christmas music thing in the theatre, which was all right if not incredibly exciting. I was sitting next to an old lady who thought it was a lot better than just 'all right,' judging by the enthusiasm she showed when singing along. That amused me until her cigarette-laden breath started making me nausious. Ergh! Anyway, the music was good until the singers got started on the hallelujahs. Hearing about Jerusalem in an almost worshipping way doesn't do anything for me - the initial reaction is always something like 'what? was there another bomb?'.
On Monday I fell off my bike. It was slippery and I wasn't paying attention The whole thing was pretty funny actually. I turned a corner and suddenly I was lying on the road. The feeling you have when your mind's trying to catch up with reality is really something else. That momentary thought of "what am I doing on the ground?" and the belated, somehow hilarious realisation that you've fallen down is almost interesting enough to make the experience enjoyable. Almost. My knee, brake and wrist did not find it so. D: (That would've been the end of it if we didn't have to play kneeling volleyball in PE on Wednesday - ouch!)
This week I also finished reading Eragon and watched the movie a few days later. Reading a typical fantasy book like Eragon was kind of refreshing. Despite not being terribly interested in just how sharp a sword is, how unbelievably good someone's aim is and just how many anonymous bad guys are tramping through the woods, the novel appealed to me. The reason I started reading it was simple: On the film poster, Eragon looked like Roxas! XD (From KH2) I never like seeing movies before reading the book so I had to read it. The movie was good too, though it was completely different. Eragon didn't actually look that much like Roxas, but hey, you don't have to be Roxas to be cool. Maybe.
Now it's holiday. I'm hoping to get out of my slump and back into writing and gaming. Neither of the two have been getting enough attention from me lately. Bad Val!
All right, now I have to go to Church for Christmas. I really, really don't want to go, but my grandmother (and perhaps my father, I'm never quite sure what he believes) is Catholic and it's kind of a favour for her that we go. Merry Christmas everyone!
