As our author concluded her week-long conference in beautiful downtown Salt Lake City, she gathered her belongings and took a taxi to the airport with her colleague. Everything appeared to go smoothly as they checked in and checked their baggage ( Read more... )

After a brief hiatus, we return to our author in downtown Salt Lake City, where she is attending a business meeting.

It seems said employee, on return from a similar trip to Albuquerque, won the "I'm sorry your flight's been cancelled" lottery. After being seated on a different flight - on a different airline - said employee was then stranded in Denver when she missed her

Relieved to have her day's travels and travails completed, our author approached the registration desk and gave her name. She was asked to wait a moment for the manager; our author mistakenly assumed that the first person was in training.  We left our author en route to Albuquerque; while waiting for the flight to depart, she took advantage of the overhead airjet to cool her face and blowdry her sweaty hair. The trip to Seattle went well; we stayed as guests of one of the church members. They have a beautiful home on the shore of Lake Washington. And when I say shore, I mean they have a boat dock right in back of their home. I spent some time looking out across the water, watching the clouds roll over the Lake. It was wonderful.
