So maybe that's what the recipe to willful diurnal living calls for. Hm.
That last little "Hmm" by the way, is supposed to sound like Dolores Umbridge. After effects of a Harry Potter premier still working full motion in my system.
Wait, HOLD UP, BY THE WAY [numero dos]
it's just come to my attention that Taurine--the stuff that Rockstar & Red Bull are looooaded with--is actually something you need ??! See for yourself:
'Taurine is not an "upper" and has no known stimulatory effect on the body. It is unclear why taurine is added to energy drinks but the inhibitory effect on neurotransmission might reduce the jittery effect of high caffeine dosages.'
And for further reading on the matter:
tau·rine1 (tôr'īn') pronunciation
adj.
Of, relating to, or resembling a bull.
[Latin taurīnus, from taurus, bull.]
tau·rine2 (tôr'ēn') pronunciation
n.
A colorless crystalline substance, C2H7NO3S, formed by the hydrolysis of taurocholic acid and found in the fluids of the muscles and lungs of many animals.
[Greek tauros, bull (from its having been obtained first from ox bile) + -INE2.]
taurine
"A derivative of the amino acid cysteine (aminoethane sulphonic acid). Known to be a dietary essential for cats (deficient kittens are blind) and possibly essential for human beings, since the capacity for synthesis is limited, although deficiency has never been observed. In addition to its role in the eye and nervous system it is important for conjugation of the bile salts.
Taurine is conjugated via its amino terminal group with the bile acids chenodeoxycholic acid and cholic acid to form the bile salts sodium taurochenodeoxycholate and sodium taurocholate (see bile). The low pKa (1.5) of taurine's sulfonic acid group ensures that this moiety is negatively charged in the pH ranges normally found in the intestinal tract and thus improves the surfactant properties of the cholic acid conjugate.
Taurine has also been implicated in a wide array of other physiological phenomena including inhibitory neurotransmission[7], long-term potentiation in the striatum/hippocampus, membrane stabilization, feedback inhibition of neutrophil/macrophage respiratory bursts, adipose tissue regulation, and calcium homeostasis.
Prematurely born infants who lack the enzymes needed to convert cystathionine to cysteine may become deficient in taurine. Thus, taurine is a dietary essential nutrient in these individuals and is often added to many infant formulas as a measure of prudence. There is also evidence that taurine in adult humans reduces blood pressure.[8]"

You learn something new everyday? But I guess now this means my dear Wilburtina & I can get fucked up on Rockstar and Red Bull (sugar-free) with even less hesitation now. Oh dear
