So I didn't start working until 12 today, since I was going to do the evening tour which means working until 21.30. Normally I don't work evenings or weekends, but I feel that if I'm going to be a good manager I need to do at least one of every working pass that we have for our summer workers. I still woke up at 6.30 though, but that meant that I had time for a slow breakfast, and cleaning the kitchen. I even took a jogging tour for 50 minutes. I still think jogging is boring and the worst part is that I'm fast enough that I need to find a longer route to run, since my goal is to be out for an hour.

Anyway when i get to work, the woman responsible for the day has to go home because a friend of her son has managed to cut himself and needed to go to the hospital. I jump in and takes her place. Then in the afternoon I get asked to try out the elevator. Now the elevator is a big story in itself, and we are still angry over the fact that it broke back in February and they still haven't fixed it. Testing the elevator meant that I had to go on the roof of the elevator and listening if I thought it would sound too scary to our visitors. It was actually quite cool to go on the outside of the elevator, but still not exactly a normal thing to do. And it does make scratchy sounds, but I can only trust the elevator guys when they say that it's safe.

Then it was time for the evening tour. I had four visitors, three elder Italians and one young Italian girl. Nobody spoke a word of English.  My only choice was to dig up my knowledge of Italian. The extent of my Italian is that I made a summer course at uni 10 years ago, and we didn't exactly talk about mines. Still I managed to occupy them for an hour or so. Also annoying was that one of the men had done his military service in Bruneck/Brunico one of the most German speaking towns of Italy and he still didn't understand anything but Italian.

After this day I served myself a big glass of wine when I got home. It would have been nice to have tomorrow off, but no I need to go in and guide the whole day..
