I think I have the basic foundation for my corset worked out. I'm also pretty sure that I've managed to make it too big. :( I feel pretty confident in making 19thC corsets, but not all so when it comes to 18thC. It's not going to be a masterpiece, but it is my first try, and since I plan on just wearing it under the travel gown I hope that it will be a case of function over beauty. Now I need to order the boning before I can finish it.
I also made an 18thC chemise, and I'm very happy with that. It was a joy to work with fine linen that I had bought.
Hoopskirt - have fixed the length of it.
I had hoped to be able to start on the petticoat and maybe the main skirt. But I haven't had the energy today. Mainly because one of the seasonal workers have managed to wake me up two nights in a row, texting that "I can't come to work tomorrow". Now she had valid reasons both nights, but still just because my phone number is the third mentioned on the schedule that doesn't mean that I can do much in the middle of the night. I'm also having the weekend off! Last night she texted me at 3 am, and after that I just couldn't go back to sleep. And having it happen two nights in a row has totally ruined the sleep I needed for the week.
