interesting thoughts
New Year! And with every new year or long break from work I get a refreshed drive for what I do. If it could only last everyday in order to accomplish some major things within my classrooms. It's interesting how much I complain about my job but really I secretly love it. As much stress as it is.......I'm teaching band, to students who probably need band more than the average student......and hopefully I'm making a difference. I'm fortunate I get to do what I want, even if it is not ideal conditions. Besides, I like challenges. I would probably be bored in a "stable" school system. That doesn't mean I won't look at other job possibilities but I'm someone who has a hard time walking away from something I feel called to do, no matter what it puts me through. I just have to remind myself of why I do what I do and remember it's not about me.
I have a list of things I want to see/do/experience/etc. in my life. I wonder how many of them will happen this year. It's already starting out pretty good!
