Settlement day is drawing closer, and 11 years of memories are about to be transplanted. I haven't really thought about that until now. 11 years in this house. It's definitely going to be weird after Friday when we start calling somewhere else "home". Oh well. One day at a time.
Most of the handywork is done, and the rest should be done tomorrow. The Borough should be out early in the week for the U&O license for the buyer. Once that's done, all hurdles on this house will be cleared. It can't come soon enough, with settlement being less than a week and all.
I'll be renting a U-Haul tonight, and we'll start loading it either tonight or tomorrow. My brother-in-law will be coming over tomorrow to help move the big pieces of furniture. The plan is to have the house totally cleared by Thursday night. I'm off from work all week, so if anything crops up in the 11th hour, it can be taken care of. I'll hardly be calling this week a vacation, though. LOL
One more week, and everything will be all over except for the unpacking! But, that's a whole other story.
The kids have finished their first week at their new schools, and all is well. :-) They'll be just fine.
I'll be fine after noon-ish on Friday. Now, I'll just have to figure out how to get three vehicles to the new house (rental truck and two cars) with only two drivers......
