Why do bad things always seem to happen to OK people? For example:

MPR5231: I finally got a Mini Cooper S! My mom and I went to pick it up in Fulton Thursday morning. She decided to drive it home, because I was a bit nervous about the stick shift thing. So... a block down for the dealership, we stopped for gas. I pulled in, parked, and waited for mother to pull in, because there was a bit of traffic. As she was pulling in, some young girl was speeding out.
They collided.
My first new car is currently on display at the Burdick BMW body shop in North Syracuse. I drove it once... on to the tow truck.

Jeez, I wonder if this is an omen as to whether or not I should get a Mini?
