To all programmers: What do you personally think of Python, the programming langauge?

1. Is it a good teaching langauge?
2. A good general-purpose language?
3. Is it "better" than C/C++ or Java?

I taped, and have been watching, the 2000 miniseries Arabian Nights, and I have to say, it's rather good! I remembered that Mili Avital, a famous Israeli actress, did a decent job as Sha'uri in Stargate (though she got all of four or five lines). So, did anyone catch the premiere of Dark Kingdom on the SciFi Channel? It is also known as Ring of the Nibelungs, based loosely on the Volsunga saga of Sigurd Sigmundson (Siegfried) and the Nibelungenlied, which were also Wagner's inspiration for Der Ring des Nibelungen.

I liked it almost as much as the Hallmark Entertainment versions of The ( Read more... )
