Right now, the Idol gives back show is running on Swedish television. At regular intervals - whenever the celebrities aren't on screen - they are showing clips from Africa. And I'm sitting here thinking as I always do that god I want to do something for those kids. Those dark eyes

Have a wonderful journey, I'm sure you'll enjoy Ghana, and dont forget to put up lots of pics.
Dont be surprised if you fall in love with the people and the place. Someone I know went to visit one of his University students- ended up over 15 years fund raising, helping a village set up a project to build a school, library and get training.

A Ghanaian friend of mine who'd lived here in England for years, went back to live with her kids. Her son got very ill because he poo-poohed the idea of needing the malaria medicine.

Thank you very much. One of the girls is already "suffering" from that kind of falling in love with the place - she's been there once before and she's planning on starting an orphanage there once she'd done with her education. So I guess it can definitely happen.
