Now that we're at the age where my friends/close cousins have their own kids, today I thought about how strange it must sometimes be to live with little humans, and specifically (since today is Fathers' Day) as a dad. How is it like to be in your 30s/40s trying to juggle work etc and all you want is 30 more mins of sleep please, but no, your kid comes and threatens "hey, time to wake up! if you don't, I'll put a cold wet towel on your face ah!" (and sometimes carries out this threat hahaha). What is it like to pick your kids up from kindergarten and have them literally climb up your knees and hang upside down from your shoulders? (My dad must have come up with that upside down hanging move; how do dads even come up with these things?!)
