Kim Kibum has always been in love with Choi Sooyoung.
It started with a small crush. Because noona is so nice and so pretty. And noona doesn't act cutesy; noona is brutally honest; noona is stubborn. And oh, noona is really trendy.
The list goes on without him noticing that the reasons on what made him like her grew longer through the years. The sunbae-hoobae crush from his trainee days grew until the truth hit him squarely in the chest without him even knowing.
He was in love.

Sooyoung, of course, remained oblivious to this. She'd take him out shopping and they'd eat on any random restaurant she feels trying (no Kibum, you SHOULD try this!) She'd hold his hand, hug him tight, whisper secrets. And Key will try his best not to get carried away.
For in as much as he would want her to fall in love with him fast, he knows he has to go slow. Build the friendship well and love will soon follow.
Sadly, things weren't as slow to him as it was to her.
Not after the Juliette performance. Not after all the rehearsal skinship, off-cam teasing, and backstage jokes. Not after her visiting SHINee dorm in the dead of the night (yah kibum-ah, teach me ring ding dong and i'll teach you genie) just because she feels so. Not after he knew he's on the middle of a ninety-degree steep slope of this thing they call love and that he has already lost his momentum.
