"Magic of the Heart"
I know we've never met,
so how can this be?
I shouldn't have fallen yet,
but I can't break myself free.
We seem to match in many ways,
you don't even know who I am.
Now, no matter what the world says,
I know my heart and don't give a damn!
Once, I asked to learn of my "soulmate",
a night last winter.
Ever since, it seems you're my fate,
at my world's center.
I burned a candle for love,
it pointed me to you.
I'm not sure what it's made of,
yet I can tell it's honest and true.
Would you recognize me?
Maybe even share my dreams?
You dropping down to one knee,
so soon, it must be more than it seems.
I wish you knew,
you're not alone in this life.
I love you,
would you ever have me as your wife?
Could you love me back?
You mean more to me than just status!
I see more besides white and black,
a great adventure of love just for us!
I'm pretty quiet and shy,
but with you it won't last!
It'll take a lot of effort to say "Hi",
yet, I'll feel lid I've known you from the past!
Do you realize the magic,
magic spell I'm under?
Like the effect of your music,
it strikes me like thunder!
Now, my love has become so strong,
I'm reminded of you in almost every song.
I'm sorry I ever thought we would be wrong,
because with you and in your arms is where I belong!
