Interviewin'

The interview with the Bennett Centre went really well, I think. I don’t feel like I made many mistakes, so that’s good. Her only concerns were that I don’t have a vehicle and that I don’t have a science background. I told her I could always get rides and I’ll do any studying up she wants. Now it seems to just be about what my references are going to say. She only wanted to talk to people who have worked with me while I work with youth, which makes sense. I provided her with my bosses info from Together Wecan, but I’m a little worried since Jaylene has left for maternity leave and Agnes might be on vacation. I also gave her Kristy’s info and Brendan’s. I think her decision will be based pretty much on how glowing they are.

She seemed pleased about the idea of hiring me since there’s only one position and then she wouldn’t have to advertise. Also, the pay is awesome compared to what I’ve been getting. The only downsides are that it’s full time and involves winter experiments outdoors. Also, the Bennett Centre is set up in Ritchie school right now and getting there will be a bit of a bitch, but they are moving back to Bennett School soon, however they will still have classes at Ritchie and other places sometimes.

Oh, super bonus? The positions starts exactly in the middle of October! Right after I get back. So here’s hoping.

And if not, Carrie offered me a job at her printing place in the shipping department. Good money I think, but probably boring work.
