I spent some time reading some feminist comms. I was reminded of a Nietzsche quote: "To find everything profound-that is an inconvenient trait. It makes one strain one's eyes all the time, and in the end one finds more than one might have wished." but replace 'profound' with offensive/misogynistic/patriarchal/privileged/racist/classist/heightist/sizist/etc.
Most of the time, I find trying to understand the radical left a far steeper uphill battle than figuring out the right. It’s all the things that I wish would make sense, but are mostly just a never ending spiral of seeing prejudice and ill will everywhere. It just goes and goes. Every word in common language seems sexist or ageist or ableist or homophobic or unenlightened or prejudiced or xenophobic or based only out of all my cisgender-white-middle class-North American-able-westernized deep rooted accidental bigotry.
It’s exhausting.
