Tonight’s Dollhouse was good. It -finally- actually felt like a Joss Whedon show. Geez.
Not particularly spoilery:
The stuff with Patton Oswalt as Joel the dotcom billionaire was classic Joss. Finally humanizing the Dollhouse users/johns was important. The final scene actually somehow managed to make me a little teary.

Without knowing it was a Joss Whedon show or without Eliza as a lead, I don't think most people would've liked a lot of the episodes so far.
Besides, I don't really care about what Joss writes as far as story or the themes he goes back to, but it's been missing the humour and emotions he usually brings. It's not wrong to expect that from a writer.
