Concert in Canton, NY

Oct 22, 2006 10:08

So tonight the Sweet Adeline group that I sing in is having their annual fall concert. It's my first concert with them as I joined right after the one last year. I'm kinda bummed because I'm the only one in the group that has no one coming to watch them.(not a stretch from the truth either) My mom forgot the date of my concert and was offered tickets to go see the Notre Dame game at Notre Dame University in Southbend, Indiana. I'm glad she got to go, however, for years shes and I talked about the first time she went to a game, I'd be there with her. So I'm extrememly jealous because I'm not there and hurt because the only person that ever travels up here can't come. My Dad is working the shut down at Nine Mile so he can't come, Maria works all day and wouldn't make it up in time, and Amiee has Alexis. I'd have no place for her to sleep (Alexis that is) so it doesn't work out. It's not like I haven't done things without my family here but this is the first concert I've been in that isn't church related in years. I don't know maybe I'm over-reacting, but its how I feel. You've read my past entries about missing my family when I'm up here and this just adds to it all.

It would be awesome, however, if some people from Potsdam came seeing as its only 10 minutes away. Here's the info if anyone is interested in coming tonight.

St. Lawrence Sweet Adeline's Chorus presents:
Kaleidoscope of Stars
Canton High School Auditorium
Saturday 10/21 7:30pm
$7 per person

Come see me and 19 other amazing women sing our hearts out. Definitely worth your time.

There's my rant and my plug. Off to make some chocolate biscotti (my donation to the refreshment table).
