Webcomics Round-Up

Jun 18, 2015 12:50

I'm always talking about how I'm a big fan of webcomics, but I notice I haven't really talked about any (aside from inklings of my own) here or anywhere. I haven't talked about webcomics since 2004, apparently! Well, that ends here.

One thing: a handful of these are not safe for work and have been marked as such. Currently I do not mark comics ( ... )

I love FreakAngels.

You should be reading Homestuck. (It picks up considerably, trust me.)

I really loved Schism when I was younger and found the archives online a few weeks ago, but the author stopped doing it so that she could restart it ... and that was back in 2008 so I don't know if it'll ever live again. So I'm hesitant to rec it.

I hate when authors put their comics on hiatus and then disappear forever. :( At least they left their archives up?

I'll check out both Homestuck and Schism.

I said it wasn't compleeeete :( To be honest, I haven't read much of either of those yet, except what you've directly linked to me. I really like the style of the latter though, so I'll be sure to check it out.

Omg, Oglaf. Just unbelievably good for a porn comic. I'll have to check out some of these, thanks for the list!

I LOVE OGLAF. I especially love that you don't know names for half of the characters unless you follow the Twitter. My favorite recurring character the Snow Queen. :D

Have you read Questionable Content? I kind of adore it. Ignore the strip that opens immediately. Very rarely the artist just inputs something like that :P

Do you read/watch things like XKCD or Doghouse Diaries too?

I'm basically going thru everything on this list, btw.

I haven't read QC, but I've seen it mentioned here and there. I'll check it out. Same for Doghouse Diaries too.

I've read all of xkcd, but it's really hit and miss for me.

XKCD is so hit or miss. Sometimes I love it and other times I'm just confused :X

I might have to read some at some point. I've never really looked at web comics before....

It's an addiction for me, to be sure. I like the range one can find with webcomics, outside of, say, regular print comics.

Cool.... Mmmm perhaps I should wait a bit for starting. I think the last thing I need atm is something else to be addicted too >.>
