All the Shadows and Pain (Poem)

Dec 10, 2016 11:55

//All the Shadows and the Pain//

Halfway disguised
Morbidly disfigured inside
Screaming, yearning, burning
Wanting to go outside, discerning

Hands on a foggy glass window
My foggy breath matches every step you know
The shadows and pain
Trembling through my veins

Almost in the clear
Then you magically appear
I just wanna be
Halfway normal, can’t you see

I just wanna know
When I change that you won’t go
Halfway accepted
But life intercepted
Now I’m all alone, just as I fear, and
Everyone’s perfectly content to leave me here.
