"Main takeaway from tonight's election news: I'm disgusted to be American. Here comes the wall. And goodbye Medicaid expansion and insurance for all. And goodbye to your illegal loved ones living here. And goodbye to politeness and inclusion. And goodbye to women's rights and LGBT rights. If you're a minority, like me, you're screwed. Old rich out of touch racist white guys win again. Thanks America. Goodnight.. xx"

"As much anger and sadness has flooded through me the past 24 hours, I feel a little better after hearing Hillary's endearing and heartfelt concession speech earlier today. I'm so glad this election is over with. I'm just really sad the country has voted to set us back 50 years. I really want to listen to Trump with an open mind, but I already know I'm not gonna like what he has to say with Republicans in charge of everything. America, I really think you f'ed up this time. I sure hope you don't have any loved ones who are illegally here or are on expanded Medicaid. I hope you don't mind WWIII. I also hope you don't like gay people, because their marriage rights are about to be revoked. God Bless. 😡 Let's hope this is a quick 4 years and the damage isn't too extreme and too difficult to undo in 2020. In any case, I do hope we can come together as a nation, but we have been down this road before with Bush, and we all know how that turned out. Everyone keep your children and loaded guns close tonight. Let's begin living in fear again, and being hateful towards minorities. It's hard to keep an open mind when I know my Vice President thinks gays are immoral and need conversion therapy, too. God help us."

"To all my friends and fam: Respect that some of your friends, family and neighbors all across the country are hurting right now. Don't judge us for feeling sad and gutted. Be comforting when we are hurting, and sad that there are so many wonderful things that (we feel) Hillary would have done for this country that we have been robbed of. But also be proud that there are so many passionate people who love this country. I am also stuck between feeling like I want Trump to fail miserably and feeling like I also want him to succeed, for the betterment of our country, which I love with all my heart. Please allow me this platform to seek your guidance, love and support, vent my frustrations, etc. Please understand that everyone "heals" differently. Don't abandon me now because I am in severe pain. Embrace me and love me. ❤️ God Bless America and ALL Americans!"

"It's easy for white straight males to comment on how this election isn't that big of a deal. The problem is, the only people this election truly serves is the top 1% (rich white guys), the other 99% of us will get left out in the cold. As a gay man, I am terrified for my personal future, and the future of minorities. We will be marginalized and have our rights taken away in this bleak hateful new Republican landscape. So how are you going to ensure that doesn't happen to us?"

"I'm a second class citizen again. Thanks, America!! 😡 #discrimination #equality The LGBT community won't forget this EVER and WILL NOT be marginalized."

"I'm taking a break from Facebook. The direction our country is going and my overwhelming feelings about it as a minority has made it less enjoyable. I'm feeling consumed by it here. Praying for better days. Catch me on Instagram and LiveJournal if you want to keep tabs on me in the meantime. Until my inevitable upcoming holiday photos, God Bless America and lets hope for better days and hope and equality for ALL. See ya.. xx BB"
