And because the Ladies champion has been crowned, and by now the exhibition has ended, 08/09 figure skating season is over. On to the next and most exciting one of all, the Olympic year 09/10 season. Where my two remaining favorites (Johnny Weir and Daisuke Takahashi) will return, in Johnny's words, "like a pheonix rising from its ashes" (Weir, 2009). So, will 2006 Oly gold medallist Plushenko return? Will Stephane my other favorite and 2006 silver medallist unretire himself? Will Evan Lysacek shock the world and say that he and Johnny are actually partners both competitively and um, not?
So to celebrate the end of the season, here's Johnny Weir skating to "Poker Face" being all hot and gay at the same time.
