OK, so work got ugly - no break Tuesday until 6am, then held over until 9:10 am for a lock down. I made it home just in time for the farrier Wednesday morning, I was about 100 yards ahead of him getting to the farm. Irish has been trimmed and his front shoes put back on. Irish was limping some right after the farrier finished with him but was walking fine by evening. I've gotten him some supplements that should help him with his hooves and joints. Louise has had her feet trimmed. I got the rental car back by noon so it cost be an extra day's rental for the hold over at work, but at least the Blazer is now fixed. Hopefully nothing else will break anytime soon on the thing, $1256.46 in one month for vehicle repairs and maintenance is not a sustainable situation. At least my tax refunds will cover about half of the vehicle stuff. So much for February being a low stress month this year.
On the brighter side, I had Dinner with Tina last night. Its amazing what vegetables over rice with sherbet for dessert with a friend can improve ones mood greatly. Plus Urchin & I have found GoogleTalk to work even over my modem connection, so we can actually hear each other, plus discuss much more than we can using an IM program. So now its time to do a bit of cleaning, mail a bill or two off and get ready for a 3 day work cycle. If life is like boating down a river, I sure hope for no more rapids for a while. Some quiet still water would be very nice.
