Lost finale (spoilers behind cut)
Oy! I don't know where to start. Let's get the bad stuff out the way first.
1. Desmond, Dickens is yuck. I like Desmond, he needs to have better taste in authors.
and on to the rest...
2. Locke better not be dead! Most likely he's still alive, but I'm still a bit worried. Eko was farther away from the blast, and I don't think the writers would kill him off just yet.
3. I enjoyed the Desmond backstory and was really surprised when the Russian (??) guys at the end of the ep called Penny to let her know they may have found him. I guess that means that Penny's dad is somehow involved in Dharma and that Penny is somewhat aware of what's going on.
4. Wig!Libby was a shock. Maybe Libby was in the asylum with Hurley because she got a little unstable when her husband died? Or is she a pathological liar and named her fake husband "David" after Hurley's imaginary friend, who she learned about while in the asylum? I'm too sleepy to figure out if Wig!Libby met with Desmond before or after we see Libby in the asylum w/ Hurley.
5. When Michael confessed to killing AL and Libby, I really thought for a second that Hurley or Sawyer was going to kill him. I was kind of disappointed when they didn't at least try. I didn't expect Michael to lead them to a different place. And the Others have dartguns now.
6. Desmond says there's no other land out there, but the Others say that if Michael and Walt head in a certain direction in the boat, they'll be rescued. Is Desmond or Henry lying, or did Desmond just not find his way out of wherever they are?
7. I'm glad we got to see Henry again, he's so creepy! I didn't think the Others would give Walt back. I wonder what they did to Walt. I hope we find out. I half-expected Walt to do something crazy when Michael got in the boat with him.
8. I wish Sayid got to save the day and shoot some Others. :( I wonder if he'll try to rescue Kate, Jack, and Sawyer. Hopefully season 3 will show what's going on with the three of them. I want to know why the Others think they're the good guys.
9. Are Michael and Walt off the show now? I hope we get some kind of resolution to their story.
10. I was surprised to see the pile of pneumatic tubes. Nice touch.
11. Are the Others' 'whispers' part of their freaky act, like their fake "old" clothes, beards, etc?
12. What was the statue that Sayid, Sun, and Jin saw? It looked like it was supposed to be the Colossus or something.
13. So when the button doesn't get pushed, there's some kind of electromagnetic buildup on the island, which apparently crashed flight 815. And before that maybe it crashed the drug plane, and somehow got made Rousseau's party end up on the island too. Will the buildup we saw in last night's ep make the Russian plane crash, too? Oops, it really did look like a plane, I guess it was the row of square windows that made me think it was a plane. That and the bottle of wine we split for dinner. :P
14. If people on the "outside" can detect the electromagnetic buildup from the island, that means that it's real. They're not in an asylum somewhere hooked up to machines having a collective hallucination.
So now all the shows I watch are on hiatus. :( I heard a rumor that ABC will not be airing reruns of Lost in between new eps next season. I hope that's true.
I don't want to be at work today, I'm brain-dead and sleepy, beyond the point of coffee being able to help me. *thud*
