Indian-Inspired Fish

Ever since rebeccafrog introduced me to Tigers & Strawberries, I've been a huge fan. Two areas of my cooking that are deficient are Indian and Middle Eastern, and this blog has been very informative for me as I learn about both cuisines. I'm also a novice when it comes to cooking seafood, as I grew up in a fish-free house. I *love* seafood, and for years was reduced to only getting it in restaurants (hence the sushi obsession). But, tincow is adventurous when it comes to food and he tolerates my "Hey! Lets try to cook fish tonight!" very well, despite several epic failures.

This dish, despite the fact that it only slightly resembles the recipe's picture, was incredibly good. The green chutney tasted like the one that I love at Aroma in DC.

I used this recipe, with mahi mahi. I made way too much rice and used too large of a casserole dish, so my rice wasn't entirely covered with chutney like it should have been. The next time I make this, I'll use a smaller dish and make some extra chutney to make certain that the rice is all covered.

The chutney was pretty spicy, it flavored the fish really well.
