This week's ebay auctions start with the great alt-country singer Kelly Hogan (and her old band the Jody Grind) and from there move to disparate musicians on the DB and Bloodshot label rosters. Another dozen should go up tomorrow.

Someone who registered for Ebay today from a hotmail account has the top bid on all twelve of my auctions. If that's someone here, I'll relax; otherwise, it makes me pretty nervous.

This week's ebay sale is a dozen Fela Kuti cds from the c.2000-2001 reissue series, most of them classic albums from the 1970, almost all of them two albums on one cd, all of them with terrific liner notes.

All cds start at 99 cents plus postage and (delicate, loving) handling; postage discounts if you win more than one cd.

I have listed on ebay the complete recordings of Fats Waller and His Rhythm on RCA/Bluebird. It's six box sets (and six separate auctions) totalling 15 cds. They have all been allowed to fall out of print, and have become hard to find. These cds are truly an essential part of any early jazz library, in my opinion.

I still have Univers Zero and Art Zoyd up on my ebay pages -- the Art Zoyd includes two very scarce 2-cd sets including their first five albums -- and have added a handful of Heldon and Richard Pinhas. I am now adding Henry Cow, and will be adding Fred Frith, Chris Cutler, and Cuneiform and Recommended Records-related stuff over the next few weeks ( Read more... )

This is busy ebay time for me, since freelance work persists in avoiding me. This week I will be listing many cds for sale, mostly in the prog/art/weird rock mode.

I'm selling my original 1995 edition of the Vertigo Tarot Deck & Book. It's in good shape -- not mint, but hardly used -- and it would be nice if it could find a good home.
