My conversation with Squall got me thinking.
This book..whatever it is.. must NOT get into the wrong hands.
I have to go see Matron.
I requested leave from Headmaster Cid, and he granted it, seeing as it was only a short walk.
Monsters had been at a basic minimum, but the strongest of snow-based creatures, since we were currently near Trabia mountains, were on in full, and their levels were increased.
It was almost as if the Storm made them stronger and US weaker..
Or it could just be my imagination.
In any case, I re-stocked my spells, and got some from some of the stronger magic users still onboard Garden. Once I had things Junctioned as best I could, I headed out.
That was when I first got a close look at how much damage the Storm had inflicted.
The snow was almost even with the tops of the Mountains.
I hope those on the White SeeD Ship are alright.. I wonder if this Storm affected everyone else on the world?
I hefted my pack on my shoulders and looked in Edea's direction.
A red light was blinking in the distance.
...Flare? No, it's not coming towards me.. it's just.. blinking..
I was puzzled now. I travelled towards the Flare-colored light, realizing that it made an almost path in the snow.
I realized then what it was. A Beacon, to all who are lost.
Finally, the Lighthouse had meaning again, and those who needed it now more than ever, could go to it, in hopes of finding solitude.
For some reason, this lightened my load, and made my journey seem less long and stressful.
I walked in the direction of the Lighthouse still, not noticing a cave with dwindling embers and several bodies huddled together for warmth.
