Hello BBB! It's been a ridiculously busy couple of days for me with cakes (two in two days!), and I wanted to share them with you guys!

As usual, very impressive! I would have thought the quilt would be much more of a pain than the apps.

Also, you're adorable as well :)

The apps were harder because I had to cut them out by hand, make loads of different colours for them and pipe teeny tiny details on them in royal icing. The hardest thing about the quilt was getting all the pieces to be the same thickness and to line up with each other :)

Nawwww, thankyou!

Thankyou! I think the transfer sheet pieces help to make it look more striking.

Wow that looks like a LOOOOOT of work indeed! But they're so cool! My patchwork cake is the absolute favorite. I would have thought that one woulda taken more time then the phone as well then I guess with cutters it goes a bit faster maybe. Great work!

Cutters make ALL the difference. My initial plan was for an 8-point star that fanned out (which I would have had to cut out by hand), but then my aunt told me that this pattern was the one Mum likes best. Given how long it took WITH cutters, I think I would have had a nervous breakdown doing it without and trying to get it all even!
