CHAPTER 16 - GROUNDED
RECAP:
kazu's mom looked at you in some sort of disappointment and said, "Kazuya, we need to talk."
~*draws blank*~(me: go read, please)
Kazu sat down at the table across from her mother.
"What is it?" Kazu asked, her heart thumping.
"Now, let me just tell you, that we're not accusing you of anything,
we're just concerned. And ready to listen." Said her father, caringly.
"Don't try to be the hero Shiro." Her mother growled, rolling her eyes.
"She's my duaghter too, Mika." her father said under his breath.
Kazu shook her head to yourself, and just tryed to tune her parents out
as they kept arguing, as if Kazu wasn't even there. The next thing Kazu heard was,
"And we understand, that your 16, and you want to do things
on your own now." her father said.
"What are you guys getting at?" Kazu asked.
'This can't be good. This is definitely not going to be good... I can't lie.'
Kazu's face gets red, her voice shakes, and she start to get itchy.
"There has been rumors going around school, and...." Kazu cut off her mother
"Yeah, RUMORS, I've heard them all day too, and the last thing
I wanted to do was come home and hear them." Kazu said.
This wasn't lying, so the side effects weren't coming in yet.
Kazu looked at her mother, and she was steaming with frustration.
"I just want an explanation honey." Said her mother hiding her anger.
"No, I did not sleep with two guys." Kazu said loudly.
"OK, did you go to a party?" her father asked
"No.." her voice shook.
"Guchi and I were here the WHOLE weekend." Kazu started to scratch her arm.
"Then how did these rumors come about?" her mother asked.
"Well, Guchi and I did go to the park, for a little bit, because we were tired
of being cooped up in the house. We saw a couple of people there...
but then we went back home, I swear."
Kazu felt her face turning scarlet.
She wiped her face with her hand, and felt the heat.
"And someone just decided to spread these rumors about you for no reason?"
her mother asked. She was getting angrier, and was becoming less confident in Kazu.
"It's high school mom, rumors are spread all the time." Kazu answered.
"Do you know who spread the rumor?" asked her father, trying to calm her mother down.
"Yes. It was Nishiyama Maki." Kazu said with her face in her hands to hide the redness.
"That little brat! I thought we took care of her two years ago!"
Kazu's mother stood up from her chair and headed towards the phone.
"NO! Mom, no. I can handle it on my own, I'm a big girl now."
Kazu said, lowered her mother's arm that was reaching for the phone with her hand.
She looked away, and it finally hit her that Kazu wasn't her little girl anymore.
"All right. But if anything like this happen's again,
I am having a word with her mother! As for you, I don't know what exactly
went on that night, but I KNOW you're lying. Your grounded for 3 weeks, and that's final!"
She paused for a moment and turned around.
She looked back at you with her head and said,
"I thought I could trust you, Kazuya."
she stormed out of the kitchen and to her bedroom.
Kazu looked back at her father and he gave her worry free smile.
He walked over to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"Dont worry honey, I'm sure it will blow over.
And the three weeks will pass by quickly." He said kissing kazu on the head.
"I know it will Dad." He let go of kazu and she headed up the stairs to her room.
Kazu laid down on the bed and felt like she was going to cry, agian.
But as she sat there, no tears came... it was like her eyes were dry.
'Grounded for 3 weeks? All well, atleast she didn't know what REALLY happened.
It's not like I have a life anyway... '
Kazu stood up and looked out the window to hopefully see Jin.
He was just walking in to his room, and Kazu waited patiently until Jin saw her.
When he looked up, he smiled and nodded.
Kazu waved back, and noticed his eye has red around it, like he had been punched.
She didn't think Jun punched him the eye... actually, she KNEW Jun didn't punch him in the eye.
Jin must have saw that Kazu was upset by the look on her face because he began strutting around,
lifting his shirt up. This made Kazu smile and Jin stopped to come closer to the window.
Jin put his head to the glass and just looked at Kazu.
He pointed out towards the woods, and Kazu nodded and held up 5 fingers.
Where are they going?
Kazuya is grounded... she should stay at home (me: oh, come on! what's the fun in that)
CHAPTER 17 TEASER...
"I dont see anything." Kazu said lifting up her arm and letting it fall back on her leg.
"Well, theres me." Jin said, and scooted closer.
"And theres you." even closer... "That's something right?"
