I was inspired by Claire...And I am procrastinating going to bed :-P

So, I haven't posted anything since my library adventure... Long story short, I didn't pass that test I was studying for. I didn't fail by much, 5 points, but failed nonetheless. I have decided not to try again until after tax season 'cause right now work is too hectic. Work has been hectic since even before tax season. Due to unfortunate circumstances, my workload has increased a crap load, and some days I feel like I'm drowning in it, but I try to stay afloat, and so far, it's been working. I just wonder how long it will be before I crack :-P
Relationship-wise, things are going great! Alan and I got engaged two weeks ago! It was something we talked about, but the timing of the proposal was a big surprise! Apparently I was so shocked/happy, I kept saying "YAY" over and over at dinner... :-P What can I say? I was in a happy daze :-P I also was so shocked/happy I barely ate. Now THAT is surprising :-P As happy as I am, I can't but help feel bad for my friends... Aaron and Cindy had broken up a little less than two months ago, and they've been together for so long... However, both seem to be moving on, and doing better, so I guess it's for the best. I just hope their current romantic endeavors work out for the both of them! :-P
It's been too long, and so much has happened, I can't really hammer out details... My Halloween party was fun, but short-lived for me, seeing I got too tipsy too fast, and had to pass out for most of the party. Aaron's 30th birthday was spent at Catskills Laser Tag, but it wouldn't be Aaron's style if it was anywhere else :-P Thanksgiving, Alan came over to my house and had the traditional Gedhe Thanksgiving lunch like last year. My office party this year was held at Rosa Mexicana's, and it was nice, but I liked the other place better. Christmas, I went over to Alan's house again, and had a nice time with his family, and the day after, Alan came over to mine, and I cooked beef bourguignon and a chocolate and almond cake from the Mastering the Art of French Cooking cookbook from Julia Child. For our 2 year anniversary, we went to Old Homestead, but the weather was so crappy, we just went home afterwards. The next Friday, I went out with a bunch of people to Madame X, and got Pomme Frites afterwards. The next weekend, Alan proposed on January 16th at a sushi restaurant in LI *yay*, and last Friday, I went out to a karaoke place with friends, and had an awesome time :-) This Saturday is Gabrielle's birthday, and I'll be out celebrating it with her and her friends. So I guess to make a long story short, my life is work work work with a sprinkle of fun :-) I'm just lucky be surrounded with lots of great friends, family, and a great fiance who love and support me during these trying times, 'cause they know what a pain I can be during tax season :-P
