moon makes 'a moment'

this thing started when a friend of mine, Uli, texted me a message saying 'look at the sky right now! find the moon! or maybe it's the sun', and it was 8 pm.

my heart suddenly beat faster. you know, i'm always afraid of the 'end of the world' thing (kiamat), and one of the symptoms of the end of the world is the sun rises disorganisedly.
and yeah, that thing caused my heart beating faster.

then, i walked out of my house, trying to find the moon.
GOSH, i never thought finding moon was that hard! i searched in front of my house, eyes looked up to the sky thoroughly, and i found nothing! the sky was crystal clear, with only just a bright star. trust me, 1 star.

i wasn't planning on letting my eyes went down, so i kept searching. then i widened my area, i walked until the next 2 houses, still, the sky was crystal clear.

then i returned, kept walking, passing my house until i reached the almost--main road.
i kept searching and searching, never let my head down, still found nothing. i went back and forth, turned my body around to the sky, still found nothing.

it was when i decided to give up, i turned my body around to the direction of my house,
but somehow i felt, 'okay, one more attempt', then i turned my body around 1 more time . . .

THAT WAS when i saw it.
i squealed when my eyes caught the moon.
i'm not sure which one caused my reaction; the fact that i found it when i was about to give up, or it's because, indeed, the moon was dazzling.

it's just, uli was right, the moon was soooo bright, and somehow it felt close to us.

in my vision, the moon was perfectly round, shining bright, and the clouds which covering it half-heartedly added the beauty.
it was like, the moon was resting consciously on some sheet and covered by the smoke.

maybe i'm over exaggerating, but at that moment, i'm so positive to state that it was the most amazing thing i've ever seen. nothing can compare to that view.
