When I raised the question over at FM about the term for "FanFic" based on your own books, Erin_M_H came up with the term SpinFic.

In Think Tank today, we were talking about getting out of ruts, and I meantioned the fanfic community 5_nevers. So I thought I'd do it with one of the secondary characters from Giving Red.

Also, is there a specific term for doing fanfic based on your own work?
