Vincent Arnot wants the vampire who killed his daughter tracked down and killed -- and he has the money to make it happen. Shannon doesn't trust him, but to her cash-strapped family, it's too good an offer to pass up.
Vampire hunting is hard enough, without having to track down one particular vampire in a strange city. Necessity forces her into an alliance with Troy Pran, a local hunter. His help makes things easier, but her attraction to him complicates things.
But Arnot has secrets of his own; hidden motives which are far from pure. And when the truth finally comes out, it just might get Shannon killed -- or worse.
