*Evan apparates a very respectful distance from the Manor and takes the walk up as an opportunity to reflect upon the Malfoy family. Evan knows that his family is substantially less well-connected than the Malfoys; the Rosier bloodline is neither so long nor so impeccable, and doing anything so common and dull as working for a living, as his family does, is certainly a strike against them. Druella was marrying down a bit when she came to the Rosier family, but it wasn't a totally empty alliance; the Rosier family has its own useful connections, though of a perhaps less savory sort than the Malfoys. Still, he and Narcissa are cousins through Druella's union, and she has been kind to him in the past. Evan likes her as much as he ever likes anyone, and perhaps more than he sometimes likes his comrades among the Death Eaters. Visiting with her and her infant son, then, is less a chore than a pleasant occupation for the afternoon. He even has a present in his pocket for the child.
He comes to the door and fixes a smile to his face and raps on the door.*
