So Morgan Page's new LP "In the Air" (2012) contains two new Tegan and Sara songs.
I am unsure why "Body Work" was selected as the first single. Clearly it should be the other Tegan and Sara song "Video". Man, Sara Quin. Man...wow. Listen now:
I sent my friend the song moments after it was up for streaming and we both gawked at it for 2 hours. It's sexy as hell and definitely a SQK song because the structure is a bit like "Alligator" - pre choruses everywhere.
We also briefly discussed where exactly Tegan Quin was featured in this song because Sara carries it whole, but then we were like who the hell cares when Sara is singing:
"Hide inside like a middle school kid
Flip the screen of the tube instead
Horror films in black and white
Pull the shades from day to night
I knew I was looking for thrills
I lose myself looking for thrills
My mind is full of video tape
Hit the street so hard, take your body in the night
When the moon comes out I know where I want to be
Roll this scene like a million times
Spinning out as the tension climbs"
And even though I don't like house music in general, the title track of the album featuring Angela McCluskey is worth checking out:
