Weekend of fun and relaxation

This past weekend was a treat. My friend Chad set up a group excursion to 6 Flags theme park near Chicago and it was a blast. I was able to reminisce with old friends, go on rides that do anything from sudden 70 mph drops to loopy loops and hit up the water slides - what more could I ask for? For anyone who is familiar with this particular 6 Flags, you should know that the Raging Bull is top notch!! I hit it up 3 times.

This week I start full-time at my new job at Primus (telecommunications firm). I have been working small night shifts for a week now and things have definitely improved since the first night. I was thrown into answering calls on my first day and dealing with a few cantankerous customers. But after easing into things a bit I've already learned to deal with such situations better.

Recently, I have finished the book "If God is Love." While I'm still a bit hesitant to agree with the authors' idea of everyone being resurrected, I really enjoyed their strong and sincere admonishment towards creating a graceful world and treating others with the love that Jesus preached. Also, I was most intrigued by their idea of love-based religion as opposed to fear-based religion, which we tend to see more. It's not a real preachy book, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to really understand how biblical love should apply to our lives. Just read it with an open mind and open heart.

Ok, I'm off! Lata!
