Hearts and Minds, 1974. Dir. Peter DAVIS.
Pretty chilling documentary in a lot of ways - and I have to say I'm not sure we've come as far as we should have. It's jaw dropping hearing people like Westmorland saying "The Oriental doesn't put the same high price on life as does a Westerner. Life is plentiful. Life is cheap in the Orient" (juxtaposed against a wailing child and a line of coffins draped in Vietnamese flags).
Terribly unbalanced - the pro-war people come off as a bunch of racist fucks half the time - but interesting considering the period in which it was put together.
