Rewatched 24 episodes of Scrapped Princess - I enjoyed it very much.

66. 1 Volume of Dorothea (Dorothea ~Majo no Tetsutsui~ドロテア~魔女の鉄鎚~).

from CMX website:
In the medieval town of Naudars, albino children hold a revered and protected status. Dorothea is one of these children and she has always wanted to see the world beyond her cloistered existence. When Naudars is attacked, all able-bodied men rise to defend their home. But Dorothea is prepared to defy tradition and enlist in the military. Like Joan of Arc, she must deal with the prejudices of those who are scandalized by the very existence of a young woman warrior. This spirited, sword-wielding girl has to defend herself from charges of witchcraft at the same time she's defending the land she loves.

Some points:
- I was not sure about this series because of the mature stamp.
- But it was an interesting read so far. I feel that Dorothea is similar to Joan D'Arc.

Bottom line, I'm curious about #2.

67. 3 volumes of Densha Otoko (電車男, Densha Otoko translated as Train Man).

from CMX website:
Vol 1: The Japanese mega-hit that weaved a tale of love in cyberspace on both television and as a motion picture finally arrives in the U.S. for the first time. Perpetual geek, social basket case and obsessive fan - needless to say, the guy called "Train Man" has never had a girlfriend. Most of his days are spent immersed in electronics and waiting for the box set DVD of his favorite anime series.

But fate takes a turn for Train one ordinary night on an ordinary train ride. He falls in love at first sight with Hermess, a gorgeous fellow passenger. When a drunken rider tries to harass her, Train surprises himself by coming to her rescue. But when Hermess later contacts Train with a thank you give and the possibility of further contact, that's one situation he can't handle.

He immediately goes online to a popular chat room to solicit advice. To his horror, he's encouraged to ask her out. Soon he is bombarded with advice regarding how, when and where he should do it. Will Train Man find true love, or will all this pressure to come out of his shell be too much for him to take?
Vol 2: The big day has come! "Train" is out on his date with "Hermess"! But now what? What does he say? What does he do? He's on his own and doesn't have his online support group to guide him through the event. Then "Train" has even more reason to fret when "Hermess" wants him to meet a friend of hers. Is the shy young man about to be "outed" as an "otaku"?
Vol 3: The saga concludes! The shy "Train Man" is invited to the home of Hermess, the girl he rescued and has been awkwardly trying to pursue. But he doesn't know that her friend, the girl from the Channel 2 chat room who has been following Train's story, is hovering just upstairs! Then Hermess goes away on vacation, and Train decides that he is going to tell her how he really feels about her when she returns.

Some points:
- It's a cute read.
- The train man is likeable and so is Hermess-san :)
- Even other supporting characters are likeable except for the drunk.

Bottom line, reread? maybe.

68. 2 volumes of After School Nightmare (3 and 5) (放課後保健室, Hōkago Hokenshitsu, lit. After School Infirmary).

from Go! Comi website:
Vol 3: With a growing obsession to learn the other student’s identities in the dream class, and the persistent Knight at his back, Mashiro strikes a deal with a fellow classmate that could end his relationship with Kureha! Back in the real world, the tension between Mashiro and Sou escalates to the breaking point as Mashiro finally decides to face his fears…
Vol 5: Things are heating up in both worlds! Determined to prove himself as a guy, Mashiro goes the distance to win Kureha. But will the new power of their bond survive the most shocking revelation so far - the true identity of the malevolent knight?

Some points:
- I have read reviews on this series, but I didn't think I'd like it. So when I saw vol 3 and 5 at a local public library, I borrowed the with some doubts.
- Now I'm curious about Mashiro ...
- Of course, there is a questionable relationship between Sou and his sister ...

Bottom line, I've ordered 6, 7, and 8, and will borrow 1,2, and 4 from the library to check them out.

69. 1 volume of With the Light (With the Light ~Raising an Autistic Child~ (光とともに…-自閉症児を抱えて-, Hikari to Tomoni... ~Jiheishouji Wo Kakaete~)).

Written and illustrated by Keiko Tobe
from Yen Press website:
Born during the sunrise-an auspicious beginning-the Azumas’ newborn son is named Hikaru, which means “light”. But during one play date, his mother notices that her son is slightly different from the other children. In the alternately heartwarming and bittersweet tale, a young mother tries to cope with both the overwhelming discovery of her child’s autism and the trials of raising him while keeping her family together. This is a story that resonates not only for those whose families have been affected by autism, but also for all past, present, and future parents.

Some points:
- This volume combines 1 and 2 of Japanese otabon. I wonder why. Anyway, it's a good news for my pocket book and bad news for my wrists :)
- Trials and struggles of parents of an autistic child. There are triumphant moments, there are defeated moments but it wasn't a total roller coaster ride. It's like reading someome's diary after the fact.
- I makes me think about a friend of mine who has autistic children.

Bottom line, I have #2 probably will read it.

Continuing Series:

public library, mangaka: wataru watanabe, mangaka: setona mizushiro, mangaka: hitori nakano, mangaka: cuvie, mangaka: keiko tobe
