Key to the Kingdom #5 badtzphoto September 29 2008, 05:31:22 UTC

Written and illustrated by Kyoko Shitou

from CMX website:
The doors to the Invisible Towers are open…but who will come back out alive? To be activated, each of the towers requires the living body of a member of the quest. Their true, hidden enemies have moved the players into position and if they succeed, the world will be plunged into darkness. Will Asta and his loyal servant Badd have the power to stop this terrible plot?

Some points:
- Of course, there are losses. Somehow the loss of a person doesn't seem to carry as much weight as that of a dragon.
- Now Asta has to be on his own regardless.
- It explains clearly why the soltice is so important - and the role of the dragons and dragon tamers.

Bottom line, one more book to go - I can't wait to see the conclusion of this series.

from CMX website:
Never before tested in battle, without the services of his trusted mentor and bodyguard, Asta must stand against an invading army, the King of the Dragon Tamers, and one more unknown foe -- someone even the mighty King fears - before he can finally claim his heritage. Learn the final fate of all the members of the quest in this dramatic series conclusion.

Some points:
- Both Asta and Leticia grew more mature or rather grew up due to trials that they've been through during the search for the key.
- I like that even though Asta grew up, he still kept his good/strong points.
- It was an action pacted volume due to the invasion and dragon fighting.

Bottom line, it's a good series and will be on my reread pile for sure.
