YAY!
I'm going to be graduating with HONORS this May!! I am so excited! I was so worried because since I'm a transfer student, they took into account some of the GE classes I took at UCI (which was only 2 English classes- got a B- and a C+ and one history class-got an A) when I didn't do that great my first quarter and then I cleaned up my act and started to get good grades. I seriously busted my ass these past 4 years...
I remember when I was a sophomore in the nursing program and I talked to one of my teachers, Ms. SATO, about this one difficult test we had, and I was telling her that my goal was to graduate with honors. She then told me, "You know, it's really hard (to graduate with honors) especially being in the nursing program; I didn't even do it and I went to this school." IN YOUR FACE, MS. SATO!!!!!!
I totally proved myself to those who had doubts in my capablities- Ms. Sato and my first clinical instructor who humiliated, embarassed, and made me cry during my first semester of nursing school and gave me a C (My only C throughout nsg. school). I wish I can just scream and tell them my news in their face!!! phew. okay
Well, I was only about .026 away from getting Magna Cum Laude (above 3.7). AAAAARGH, OH WELL. My GPA is 3.674, so I get Cum Laude (3.5-3.69). I'm kinda disappointed, cuz my mom was really hoping I got Magna-- "because it sounds better"- my mom says. hah. Oh well, I'll take it.. at least I get recognition. I wonder if any of my other classmates got Cum Laude or higher.... I seriously wonder who else?!
