week 1 - day 4 of training: swim

Warm-up:
-50 yards swim
-50 yards kick
-50 yards swim
-50 yards kick
-50 yards swim
Main set: non-stop
-100 yards easy, 50 yards moderate, 50 yards fast
-50 yards easy, 100 yards moderate, 50 yards fast
-50 yards easy, 50 yards moderate, 100 yards fast
Warm-down:
-150 easy with breathing drills
TOTAL: 1000 yards (20 mins)

Comments: morning swim is good for training! morning workouts is good for training.. sure i had a bit of a tough time getting up at first.. but i somehow managed to get up, had breakfast, and was good to go. second swim training session went well. the 100 yards fast swim was a bit of a killer and at first i didn't think i was capable, but i managed somehow.. sure i was completely out of breath. and had a few water in my mouth. but i realize i still gotta work on managing my breathing so i won't pass out in teh middle of the race. several times after i did my flip turns i thought i was gonna breathe in some water but i managed to find some air. not a good thing btw. but although it was a short session, its still a session. besides, 1000 yards in 20 minutes is good. if possible, i'd like to reduce that time down to 15 mins so i can have enough time to run. other than that, good job!
