Three years have passed and I miss her still. I marked her accident anniversary with placing the brightest spray roses I could find on her ghost bike on Dunlavy and Westheimer and a quiet moment of contemplation in the mid-day heat.  I have made peace as best I can with her death and all the change that it wrought.  I have still have her memory as ( Read more... )

Two years ago we lost a brilliant spark and it feels like the whole world changed for so many people, mine included.  She was hit by the firetruck collision on the 30th of March 2009.  She was still concious ( just barely ) when she was delivered to the hospital ... but was in a coma by the end of the evening / start of the next morning.
