80s night was *the shit* last night. I really needed it too - I had a horrible shift at work (someone yelled at me, I had to interview a spaced out lady, and another woman needed information about a heart attack), not to mention I didn't go home to eat because there's feuding going on in the apartment. I was worried 80s night might suck since none of the regulars were there - Sarah, either of the laurens, etc. But I got there early before Pat so I would pay less to get in. Over two hours I had five double gin and tonics and a yeungling. So yeah...I was pretty fucked up. I was feeling lonely at first just sitting at the bar since Pat hadn't gotten there yet. But then I ran into my friend from CMU who apparently got lost driving from Colombus, saw a sign for Pittsburgh, then decided to come to 80s night. It's like 80s night is mecca. Then Pat got there, and he bought me two drinks (I told him he didn't have to). He also danced with me, even though he said he couldn't dance (not like anyone at 80s night really can). He's just such a sweet guy.
So then I did my requisite drunk dials to the new boy, sarah, and I think like 5 other people from my phone. Oh yeah, I drunk dialed tarka again. Yeah yeah, I know I shouldn't, but it's tradition - and it was more to just see what's up. Nothing is going on there. Then there was just lots and lots of dancing, and they played all the great 80s night songs. Eric, the CMU friend, started trying to grind with me. And he's married people..married, but it was so cute cause he's just this nice computer nerd guy I met through church...and I'd never seen him drunk before.
Afterwards, we were hanging out at the O cause Pat had to use the restroom. Pat was trying to get with Eric's friend (hell yeah for me introducing people and getting people laid), so he was like "do you have a condom man? she's kind of a slut and I don't want to get anything." But I didn't. Then we ran into her at the O, and she drove me home since she wasn't too drunk, then they went off in their debauchery I'm assuming. I didn't puke or anything thankfully, and I woke up with only a tad bit of a hangover. But it was a great night...defintely up there among the best 80s nights ever.
I don't know what I'm going to do without it if/when I leave Pittsburgh..,
