MattG's not wrong. With the passing of The Beatles McCartney lost his bullshit detector - but it didn't take away his ability to write a cracking tune. For every "Mull of Kintyre", there's an "Another Day". For every "Frog Chorus" there's a "Too Many People".

McCartney's a prolfically consummate tunesmith in need of a good editor.
