You can measure a person's metaphysics by his/her ethics. You can see the person's true beliefs by evaluating his/her actions. If someone tells you that they are strong Christians [if someone strikes you on one cheek, then turn the other cheek and allow them to strike you again. This is the philosophy of the Christians] and they turn around and beat their children, steal, etc., then this is totally contradictory to what they claim.

If you believe the world is a garbage can, you will treat it like a garbage can. What you believe about the world is parallel to your actions towards the world.

If someone tells you they love you, then cheat on you or even beat you, then how could you believe him/her when they say that they love you? Actions speak louder than words. You can measure how true a person is if you use this method.
