“Well.” Hands on his hips, Ianto stared at his colleagues. “This is going to cause a few problems, don’t you think?”
“It could be worse.” Jack was determined to look on the bright side, even if his lover seemed dead set on being the voice of doom. “None of us are injured or anything.”
“I broke a fingernail,” Gwen complained.
“That’s not an injury, it’s…” Owen trailed off. “Help me out here?”
“Cosmetic damage,” Ianto finished for him.
“Yes, that.”
“Like I said, we’re all fine.” As far as Jack was concerned, that was the end of the matter.
“We’re NOT fine,” Ianto corrected. “We’re half our usual size.”
“Yes, but at least our clothes shrank with us.” Tosh gave her friend an apologetic smile.
“That’s not much of an upside,” Ianto grumbled. “We’re three feet tall, twenty-five miles from Cardiff, and no matter how much we adjust the seat and the steering wheel, there’s no way any of us can drive the SUV.”
“We could try hitch-hiking,” Gwen suggested.
“Oh yes,” Ianto muttered sarcastically. “Brilliant idea, five little people trying to flag down a car. No way THAT could go wrong.”
Jack sighed. “Should I phone for a taxi?”
