BtVS Triple Drabble: Always In Trouble

Summary: Buffy always seems to be in trouble of one kind or another.

A/N: Triple drabble.
Everything Buffy does seems to land her in hot water with someone. If it’s not her mom, it’s the school principal, who hates her, and if it’s not Snyder, it’s her Watcher, berating her for shirking her responsibilities. He’s done that so often she’s even starting to sound like him!
It makes her envy her friends, who don’t have to answer to a Watcher, and whose parents don’t seem to pay much attention to where they go or what they do. She wishes her mom would ease up on her, and that makes her feel guilty because she knows she’s lucky to have a mom who cares enough to worry about her.
Before she was called as the Slayer, before she had the responsibility for saving the world from vampires and demons dumped on her shoulders, she’d been an average teen, acting out the way all teens did but not getting into serious trouble. Now, everybody’s getting on her case when all she’s trying to do is balance keeping her grades up and saving the world, both of which feel like fulltime jobs.
What she wouldn’t give to be normal again, to never have found out about the monsters lurking in the shadows. Life had been so much easier when all she’d had to worry about was if she looked trendy enough, and whether or not the cute boy in homeroom liked her.
Clothes and boys, the teenaged kind at least, seem kind of insignificant now, although she still needs to keep up appearances, if only to avoid becoming a total outcast. Besides, she wants to look nice for Angel…
She sighs as she sinks deeper into the bath, letting the fragrant water lap around her. This is the only kind of hot water she ever wants to be in.
